Strong Rookie Debut at the Optimist European Championship 2025 – Çesme, Turkey 🇹🇷
The 2024 Optimist European Championship has come to a close in Çesme, Turkey, after a week of high-level racing, strong winds, and tough competition. Among the 155 sailors from across Europe, two of our Gold Winds rookies have delivered outstanding results, showing once again that hard work and consistency pay off.
Dani Capa, from Club Nàutic Estanyol, coached by Toni Monerris, finished an incredible 6th overall in the Boys’ fleet — a fantastic performance in his first international championship.
Stijn Oosterhaven, representing Club Nàutic Arenal and coached by Adri Barceló, also stood out with a solid 11th place overall among the best young sailors in Europe.
This result is the reflection of their dedication and the support of their families and coaches. At Gold Winds, we are incredibly proud of how these young sailors have stepped up at such a high-level event. It’s not just about the results, but about the journey, the learning, and the way they represent the values of our team both on and off the water.
This is only the beginning, and we’re more motivated than ever to keep growing and pushing together.
