This summer has been one to remember for Gold Winds Sailing Academy. We closed the season with an unforgettable multi-class clinic—bringing together more than 70 boats across Optimist, ILCA 4, and 420, followed by outstanding performances at the prestigious 61st Gran Día de la Vela.
The clinic welcomed sailors from several nationalities and offered an intensive week of training both on the water and on shore. It was a true showcase of our international program, team spirit, and commitment to helping young athletes grow across different classes.
Optimist
A fantastic fleet performance by the Gold Winds Team, with five sailors finishing between 4th and 9th overall. A clear sign of the depth and consistency within the group.
ILCA 4
Iker Mugica (CN Cambrils), Gold Winds rider, took 2nd place overall and 1st Sub-18, proving his talent and determination in one of the most competitive fleets.
420
Our World Champions, Neus Fernández Darder & Martina Gomila Darder (CNA), continued their strong season with a 4th place finish against a very high-level fleet.
With this clinic and regatta, we officially conclude our 2025 summer season, a season full of growth, strong performances, and international experiences that continue to expand the Gold Winds project.
We are proud of all our riders, coaches, and families who made this possible. Now, it’s time to look ahead and keep building towards even greater goals.
Vamos Gold Winds!
